I've seen marriages split and people fall victim of depression due to the financial strain of running a small business. I've also had countless new small business clients come to us for help where their previous accountant has left them in a bad position through poor structuring or no understanding of their structure, poor application of the tax laws or little or no “creative” thinking in terms of tax minimisation strategies.
